Where is the anima?

2020年7月、たくさんの舞台が中止になった中、空いた劇場でダンス映像作品を撮影しました。


ぽっかりした劇場で中止になった世界中の公演たちのことを考えていた。

ダンスに限らず、そういうものは魂みたいなものが人間本人たちとは関係なく存在している気がして、
使われない機材たちや空間を見ながら、いつもよりもひっそりしている気がした。

目で見えているようで見えていないことがたくさんある。

撮影の時、久しぶりに照明を浴びながら踊ったせいか、身体が熱くなり気持ちがぐわっとなった。
自分をどうにかするのは自分の身体なのだといつも思う。
死んでも踊っていられるだろうか。

緻密な手描きのアニメーションとダンスによる9分間の映像作品。
どうぞ、飛ばさずに観て下さい。

In July 2020, I filmed a dance video work in a vacant theater while many performances were canceled.
I was thinking about all the performances around the world that were cancelled in with nobody theater.
Not only in dance, but also in other forms of art, I felt that something like the anima existed regardless of the people themselves, and as I looked at the unused equipment and space, I felt that it was more quiet than usual.
There are so many things that we can see, but don't see.
Perhaps it was because I hadn't danced under the lights in a long time when I was shooting, but my body felt hot and my mind was all over the place. I always think that it is my body that can take care of itself.
I wish I could dance even after I die.
A nine-minute film work with intricate hand-drawn animation and dance.
Please don't stop in the middle and watch until the end.
